Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you use this website or take part in For Her, From Her, whether as a woman seeking support or as a volunteer.
What For Her, From Her is
For Her, From Her is a volunteer-run befriending service that connects women who would like support with women who volunteer their time. It is not a counselling, medical, legal, financial or crisis service, and volunteers are not trained professionals unless they happen to be so in their own lives — in which case they still act only as befrienders within this service.
Who can use it
The service is for women aged 18 or over. By submitting a self referral or volunteer form, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and that you are aged 18 or over.
No guarantee of a match
We do our best to match every referral, but matching depends on volunteer availability and fit. Submitting a form does not guarantee a match or a particular timescale, and we may decline or end a match where we feel it is not safe or suitable.
Not an emergency service
This website and service are not monitored around the clock. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. If you need urgent mental health support, contact your GP, call 111, or reach the Samaritans on 116 123. Do not rely on this service in an emergency.
Respectful use
You agree to use the website and service honestly and respectfully. We may remove anyone who abuses the service, harasses volunteers or other women, or provides deliberately false information.
Your information
Any personal information you share is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains your rights under UK GDPR.
Liability
We take reasonable care in matching and supporting our community, but the service is provided by volunteers and we cannot accept liability for the actions of individual volunteers or members, or for outcomes arising from a match, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one.
