Privacy Policy
We only ask for what we need to match you with the right person, and we keep it safe. This page explains what we collect, who sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Self referrals: your name, contact details, general location, what you are navigating and anything you choose to tell us in your own words.
- Volunteers: your name, contact details, availability, the areas you can support and a short note about you.
- Employers and partners: your company name, contact name, email, phone and enquiry details.
We do not ask for bank details, medical records or documents through this website.
Why we hold it
We use your information for one purpose: to understand what you need or what you can offer, and to match women safely and thoughtfully. We also use your contact details to reply to you about your referral, application or enquiry.
We never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Form submissions are stored in a secure, access-controlled area of this site and are only visible to our coordinators. A copy is emailed to our coordinator inbox so we can respond quickly.
Your volunteer is only given the details needed to support you well, and only once a match is agreed. We will always tell you what is being shared.
How long we keep it
We keep referral, volunteer and enquiry records for as long as we are supporting you, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick things up again if you come back to us. Records we no longer need are deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw a referral or step back as a volunteer at any time, for any reason, without explaining why.
When we may have to share
If we believe someone is at serious risk of harm, we may need to share information with emergency or safeguarding services. Wherever it is safe to do so, we will tell you first. You can read more on our safeguarding page.
